I wanted to share this feature from Politico that allows you to build your own Congress by deciding the fate of toss-up and lean races for the House of Representatives and Senate. Politico gives you the voting history for the district or state, and allows you to filter the race by incumbency, how constituents voted in the 2016 election, and by a variety of other demographic factors (including median age, income, education levels, and percentage of minorities).
You can predict your own Congress here.
This blog serves the honors section of our introductory course on American politics (Claremont McKenna College Government 20) for the fall of 2025.

About this Blog
During the semester, I shall post course material and students will comment on it. Students are also free to comment on any aspect of American politics, either current or historical. There are only two major limitations: no coarse language, and no derogatory comments about people at the Claremont Colleges. This blog is on the open Internet, so post nothing that you would not want a potential employer to see. Syllabus: http://gov20h.blogspot.com/2023/08/draft-introduction-to-american-politics.html
