NY Times article about American exceptionalism and the GOP

David Brooks's article discusses why Americans traditionally have seen themselves as exceptional (related very much so to the ideas of Toqueville) and how the GOP interprets exceptionalism in America's constantly changing landscape. You can read the article here.
